British Colour Council Colours is a series of works that references The British Colour Council Dictionary of Colour Standards an historic reference guide that featured 240 colour swatches woven from silk thread. Originally produced to create consistency in the textile and decorative industries, the dictionary now serves as a springboard for Heather’s vivid exploration of colour as cultural memory and personal perception.

Hand printed on 300gsm Somerset Paper. Made 2024 and 2025. Size 49 x 38 cm unless otherwise stated. Printmaking methods include lino, woodblock and carborundum.
